I’ve been the special projects editor at Neon Tommy since October 2010. I also work as an executive producer one day each week, and during that time I write fast-turnaround blog posts and manage the front page.

It’s a site that covers LA news, national news with a local spin, commentary and arts. The LA Times had some nice things to say about us once. So did NPR.

I worked on the swine flu project that won second place in the online category at the Los Angeles Press Club.

Through Spot.us, I also wrote series on the foreclosure epidemic in Los Angeles and on the clean up of the Santa Susana laboratory. I also led the Crenshaw project and our series on the ports of Los Angeles.

When I have time, I also write opinions, arts stories and create podcasts.
