The midterm election’s coming up, and I’m helping produce a series of infographics about each California proposition, as well as blogging about the Whitman/Brown race every week. It’s been a great primer in how to cover political races in new and relevant ways.
But early last week we got the reporting opportunity of a lifetime: the DNC announced they were bringing President Obama to USC as part of the “Moving America Forward” series of rallies. We were stoked, to say the least.
I was in the press pit, where I got to do some interviews with people who had been waiting since 6 a.m. The only bummer was that the WiFi signal was worse than Cape Town on a rainy day.
I also later did a rhetorical analysis of Obama’s speech, which was linked to by NBC.
